Aishihik G.S. Relicensing Project
North/South conducted three years (1993-1995) of aquatic studies on Aishihik and Sekulmun lakes (Yukon Territory), for the Yukon Electrical Co. Ltd. and Yukon Energy Corp. as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment of environmental and socio-economic impacts associated with relicensing of the Aishihik Generating Station. Work included detailed bathymetric and aquatic habitat mapping and assessments of habitat utilization, fish movements, life histories of the principal fish species, inter-specific interactions, and development of linkage hypotheses to describe the effects of lake regulation on the aquatic ecosystem.
