Kettle Generating Station: Operating Change
North/South participated in the production of an Initial Environmental Evaluation (IEE) for a proposed operating change at the Kettle Generating Station. Work included assessing effects of the operating change on the aquatic environment, developing aquatic sections of the IEE, presenting the operating change and anticipated environmental effects to Chief and Council of Tataskweyak Creek Nation (Split Lake), consulting with local Elders and resource harvesters, and developing a "First Nations Consultation" section within the Initial Environmental Evaluation. The latter section was developed as a consensus document through numerous meetings and discussions with resource harvesters and representatives of Tataskweyak Cree Nation.
