On behalf of the Saskatchewan River Sturgeon Management Board, Lake Sturgeon harvest surveys were undertaken at The Pas, Manitoba during the summers of 2001 and 2002 and at Cumberland House, Saskatchewan in 2002. The surveys were conducted by local residents. Surveys included stratified river surveys and household recall surveys. The data generated from the studies provided the first estimate of domestic harvests of Lake Sturgeon from the E.B. Campbell to Cedar Lake reach of the Saskatchewan River.
