Project Licensing
Environmental licensing is a tool that governments use to regulate activities that may cause harmful environmental degradation. It sets legally binding requirements to protect the environment through a public and transparent process. Familiarity with provincial and territorial environmental assessment and licensing processes is one of NSC's strengths: we participate in each component of environmental licensing, including submission of the Environment Act Proposal Form; development of scoping documents for federal/provincial guidelines; review of guidelines; development of Environmental Impact Statements; and review of license conditions. NSC has also participated in many federal/provincial review processes that meet the needs of both jurisdictions.
